First in a popular series of arcade games involving a Japanese warrior and his faithful hound ported to the Genesis in order to boost the platform's slow sales. Revenge of Shinobi, has the most faithful „feel“ of the original arcade ports, and also features a cameo by Spiderman. Impressive in their day, with neat 2D sidescrolling graphics. Animation is rather limited, but it's the wild gameplay that everybody remembers. The series gets better as it goes, but they're no match for the arcade originals. www.GenesisProject-Online.com
In this game, once again you are Shinobi, but this time you're out not to free hostages, but to gain your revenge. All you have to do is go around killing people with „shurikins“, or throwing knives. You can also get power pack upgrades. Once you touch it, your knives turn into fire and you have a ninja sword. You have to do 3 rounds per zone, kick the butt of a boss and hey presto!
