Speedy! Hier geht es aber wirklich schnell ab. Schnelleres Scrolling und abgedrehtere Ideen habe ich noch bei keinem Mega Drive-Spiel gesehen. Das Programmierteam um Steve Bak darf sich wirklich auf die schuppigen Schultern klopfen, denn mit dem dritten Teil der James Pond-Reihe haben sie sich wirklich selbst übertroffen. Technisch perfekt, spielerisch brilliant, was will man mehr erwarten?

A tongue-in-cheek tribute to the James Bond films from one of the better British programming houses. Help secret agent James Pond as he battles the wits and many minions of the evil Dr. Maybe. Pond's third and best outing, great graphics and sound really made this stand out when I originally played it on the Amiga, however it is sometimes a bit tricky and gets a bit lost amongst all the other platformers available for the genesis. Unlike the first game of the series, that was a mission-based game, and the second one, where your character had unique abilities such as observing the whole level and growing to unlimited height, „James Pond 3“ is a standard jump and run platform game. Pond can run very quickly (by holding down the A button) through large levels, which often contain steep mountain sides and other tricky areas.
