New features in this edition of the baseball simulation include the Home Run Derby and Pitching Practice. Multiple viewpoints and instant replays are included. 28 pitches are included, each with distinct effects. You can use real or fictitious teams, and even create your own right down to the logo and kit. Statistics such as batting average and RBIs are stored and can be printed out. The one and only - the first baseball sim grudgingly acknowledged by both sports fans and gamers alike as worth the trouble of learning. One of the first baseball games to offer first-person on-the-diamond views, which only added to its popularity. Hardball set the standard by which all subsequent baseball games were measured. Still surprisingly enjoyable after all these years, although time and technology have passed them by.
