Most later releases are difficult to find due to small production numbers and general lack of interest, but there could also be something else I'm not aware of. Anyway, this is the Master System port of the arcade shoot the machinery blow-out from back in the day. During the late 80s and up through the late 90s, this kind of game was pretty popular in the arcades. Most people probably remember Operation Wolf, or Carnevil, or Mechanized Attack, or any one of many different games. Recently they've really seemed to fall out of popularity, and I can't really think of any new games of this type that have been released that anyone cares about. So it´s great gameplay, a shooting game. That's right, but wait, hold on a second, because you DON'T and CANNOT use your Light Phaser with this game. That probably seems conterintuitive, but there's a reason for it. First off, let me say that this DOES NOT take away from the gameplay whatsoever, the cursor you control moves way fast so you won't even notice the gun missing from your hands. You play the part of you know who and essentially run through levels that represent certain parts of the film. The game does a pretty good job of this, in fact it's basically the same set-up as the arcade. I do not remember everything from the original, so there may be a level or two missing due to the SMS not having enough storage for all of it, but I could be completely wrong, this is just to make mention of the fact that if this game is missing anything I'm not aware of it. More importantly, I don't care because it's so awesome. I heard lots of bad stuff about this game before I picked it up, and I assumed the worse, but was quite surprised with what I found. It's a great game. You move the cursor around blowing the crap out of everything, using missles, getting upgrades, getting life, protecting humans, and so forth. If you're familiar with the arcade (or any other ports), you know what to expect. If not, you'll get the hang of it. Just shoot everything that shoots at you. [...] In conclusion crawl across a desert to find this game. It doesn't pop up often, but when it does, be certain to get your hands on it. I don't know why there's so much mad lingo going around about this title, I think it's great. Not the best, but definitely worth it.// - www.smstributes.co.uk ----
